I'm looking for a meshing material that fruit flies won't get through, but one that will allow for ventilation to pass through. Something that is made of plastic/vinyl or whatever would be preferred over metal mesh.

I have mesh now, but it's so fine that sometimes water closes the openings and I have a wet mess that doesn't let air through.

You can post links or if you have a lot of it, I'll gladly take/buy some off your hands.

They just started carrying bug screen this year. It's in with the regular window screen and has a purple wrapper. It's made from black nylon.
