The advanced section was made (I know why it was made, because Glenn told me EXACTLY why he wanted it started) to keep those who do not know a lot from mudding down an advance discussion, as you have now done. To keep the advanced from answering a lot a basic questions.
^^This reason too. People that have been in the hobby for years (Not two or three) YEARS have earned a place to post on advanced topics, without being interupted. That's why a lot of advanced hobbiest's don't post at all on forums imo.
Maybe it shouldn't just be how many years you have put into this hobby but how much you have actually contributed by breeding or teaching. There are many factors in which makes a hobbyist and advanced one. Breeding Imitators and playing Susan knows best on a forum does not fit the bill.
The stipulation of how many years in the hobby needs to be at the front of the forum for everyone's sake, since I don't see some others who have talked in these threads to have been so scrutinized.
I highly respect more advanced hobbyists' knowledge base, and wished to contribute to their information. That is my 'respect'. Thank you for making it clear I am an actually an intermediate and have nothing to add to elite discussions such as these.
Sounds like you are taking it personal...*Sigh* And no, you're not being singled out and picked on. I have removed at least one post and am tempted to butcher this thread, but maybe some will read it and get a better understanding of why it was created...
What if someone had 3 years in the hobby and was working with a team of Scientists in Panama collecting information on Pums. Would they be welcome to post, Yepper. Number of years is subjective, knowledge base isn't.
These are my first 3 posts in this area, just because I had to do the Mod thing. I don't take it personally that I'm not posting here. I will when I feel comfortable. Most of the stuff posted here is over my head. So what, I'm not embarassed, I'm still learning...
