I'm ready to set up my film canisters and I don't know which color to use, white would probable show egg clutches at a much farther distance but I'm not sure what R. ventrimaculatas would prefer and is it 1/2 or 1/3 filled with water at a 45 degree angle? how about towards the bottom or top of the viv?
thanks I appreciate all the imput you guys can provide.
I use both and a variety of angles, sites and differing amounts of water - the frogs then choose which suits them best. All seem to get used so I wouldnt worry too much.

I use both but I agree they seem to chose black more often
Thanks, so far I've seen them bounce around both the white and the black especially when I play calling recordings, how big are the eggs? would they be at the bottom of the film canisters or stucked to the sides? don't really know what to look for as these are my first vents. but the act like a pair. And when I play the call recordings they interact with each other alot chasing each other all the time.
The eggs will be stuck to the sides or all the way in the bottom. My vents preferred black canisters at a 45 degree in angle with a small pool of water.
