Well they are getting to be about that age when we will have to have the talk about the birds and the bee's. I came home from work today and went to check on the children and I saw something I have never seen before with my Azureus. our "male" has tucked himself into the center of a brom. and the "female" is bulldogging him into it. basically leaving it no escape. Making weird motions with her body almost as if she was laying eggs. I have seen similar movements with our producing thumbs. They have been in the same spot now for over 3 hours. the entire time they were facing each other and now I went to look at them and see if I could snag a picture and she has tucked her butt into him. almost like they are laying there together but she is kinda in front of him. I wanted to open the doors to get a picture but figured I would leave them alone just in case. Anyone have some input?
Correction. 5 Eggs. And yes, i got my order from NE Herp today.. but half the order was wrong so sadly, the petri dishes I was supposed to have did not make it into the box is it weird they laid inside a brom?
lol i had to ask my girlfriend if she liked pringles.. I was not catching on. But, we get you now! lol. What are some suggestions on these first 5 eggs? 3/5 off them are white and 1 is pretty dark colored, which is good in tincs right?
I wouldn't expect the first clutch to be good, but there will be a lot more to follow now that they've started breeding. I've never separated good from bad, but you can take a razor and cut the white ones away. That or just let the clutch be.
I upped our watering yesterday, I wonder if that enticed them to start or if they were going to regardless. Same times on but I let the misting cycles go from 10 to 20 sec each. I wanted to help out the Thumbs and get our new viv going on the plants. I will get pictures of the new setup soon. We need advice on what to put in it dunno if we're gonna separate 2/4 varadero we have or go with Cristobal pums. oh decisions.
