I was checking on my F/S leuc eggs today and 2 are developing nice, while the others are not looking great. After misting, one of my good tads was straight(not curled in the orb anymore), but yolk still attached. The other good looking one is still curled up in the typical clear orb with yolk.
My question is....why the heck is he out !? Did it hatch out/break out too soon? Temps from 72-75, misted frequently, in storage container w/ lid to keep humidity up. Will he survive outside his little clear orb? The yolk is still attached and he has been squirming so I know he is alive. It has been around 11 days since they were laid. These are my first ever eggs so I hope it survives !
Good news is that I just found another clutch of 7 or so eggs in my pairs tank, I will take it out tomorrow night
Thanks

I have seen that before and have not had problems.
Just be sure he is swimming in the petri dish before you put him in a tad cup.
I always start with an 1/2 inch of water or so in the cup and add more as the tad gets bigger.
Like I told you Brian once those guys start breeding you will have plenty of tads.
He is squirming around alot in there when i take the lid off and mist. I will put him in the tad cup when I get home from work ! 70-75 a good temp for the tad right?
I was just worried bc I read that the gills and most of the yolk would be gone when they hatched....and the other one has not hatched yet, hmm. Thanks for the help as always
