Default New frogs. Male calling already

I LOVE YOU JAMES!! lol. I just got my 4 Varadero's about an hour ago. Less than an hour inside the viv and I already have 1 male calling. I love it, I can't wait to see if there are any females going to give him attention! I am so happy. 7 months with tincs and have yet to get this kind of action from them. So happy with these thumbs.

I would love to, and my girlfriend has not seen them yet, she's been stuck at work all day. I told her about them on her lunch hour and now she is gonna be home in about an hour.. Sadly, they were all out and about but now they are tucking away into broms. I would have taken pictures but I only have a crappy phone to do so lol. No Zoom feature = bad pics for thumbs lol. The male that was calling was non stop at it for about 4 hours lol

LOL....NO problem Brandon I hope you get as much joy out of them as I have with their parents....That is the second calling male out of the first group of offspring, I got another one early today that started calling....See if you can match up him with the pics I sent and see how close I was at a guess.....This way I can know if I am looking at the right traits to guess at sexes....

Hard to tell with that picture. I think you are correct though. So hard to get distinguishing features on the 4 of them. I only noticed a slight difference on the sides of the one calling. but I think it is the one you thought it was.

Congrats Brandon!
Always a happy moment when they start calling.

Wow James 12 juvies, your breeding pair must be very busy bees.

So 2 days now of owning these joyful TINY things. And I have had a lot of personal time to enjoy these.. My girlfriend's work schedule has given her NO chance to see them. Until tonight. they were all asleep or atleast hiding in their broms.. but this guy decided it was time to make his debut.. Now, James, this is the one I believe is the male. still hard for me to tell between the 4 but I do believe this is the one who was calling. He didnt do it for me tonight but he decided to not only come out and let my girlfriend check him out, but he decided it was time for a photo shoot.. lol love these already!

AND we picked up our 40 breeder and the construction of it is coming out so awesome it will most likely be the new home for these guys once its done and fully planted and seeded over the winter. Now to get my hands on some white and orange iso's, and pink, silver, and white springtails before it gets TOO cold. lol
