Default first time witnessing Azureus call

So we purchased our first darts on Easter this year. judging by the size of the frogs we guessed about 3 or 4 months OOW 1 was larger than the 2 so gave him an extra month or so in age. Well the one we nick named "beast" due to its initial size and appetite started calling today. We were watching TV and I happened to glance over and see him moving odd. I put the tv on mute and cracked the exo open and what do ya know, the little guy has started calling Will they do this without a female present?? just trying to gauge what we may or may not have in there as only one is doing this.

We have our thumbs who call from sunrise to sunset but our very first trio to now join in on the fun?? We are sooooo happy and proud to have made it this far in the hobby in a years time. Also, they are in their new home for only week 3 now. We need to post pictures of this setup since its probably our first and most expensive/elaborate setup thus far! We are pumped!

Congrats!

I've never tried a film can before. Let us know how it works out.

Female Visit Tree Walkers!

I agree with Glenn, coco huts would be better.
Congrats on seeing one call, I have not seen my BYH male call but the female is a "charmer" rubbing his back when she is in the "mood."

Add another vote for coco hut. Put a petri dish lid under it and they will lay there almost every time. The rubbing is hilarious to see, it always makes me laugh.

Congrats on catching the male calling. My azureus laid before I ever heard them. When I finally I caught them calling I realized I had been hearing that noise for many months.

hahaha awesome. yes, I have 3 huts in the viv with them right now, but i need to hurry up and snag some dishes to toss under them. I have not seen any courting from our suspected female. Whats weird is going by the general signs of sexing on tincs and what not, I should in theory have 2 males and a female. but whats odd is after the male was calling he was buddying up with the other suspected male. Could be nothing since we see no eggs or any rubbing or any of that sort. perhaps just some bro-mance going on. haha
