Congrats!
Once they start to form into tads I raise the water level in the petri dish and do not move them to cups until they swim freely.
Like Glenn said wait a few days before you feed them.
Plus be careful not to over feed, I only feed my tads twice a week.

i personally wait until they have broken free from the egg sac. the tails will be straight (which is a good indication) sometimes they need a little push to fully break free which can be accomplished by spraying them gently with water. it can also be done with a scalpel, but i dont believe in giving this sort of aid. it supports the continuation of weaker genetics IMO.

after than i may wait a day or so to move them into water. it may sound crazy, but they can spend at least this long on the parents back while being transported. its really a non-issue.

once moved into deeper water the tad may appear lifeless. it may be completely unresponsive. do not throw out a tad until it molds. this lifeless look may be normal and generally they start to swim within 48hrs.

I have found it best to raise them communally instead of in cups. I have raised 6 together in a shoe box container and feed daily. I have found that they grow faster and larger. When mine morph out they are the size of some of my friends 2-3 month olds. I have some pics of auratus tads compared to a 25 cent piece as comparison. Just took it out to make picture easier to take than with the other 5 tads with it. Food is also very important. When raising communally don't feed live food like blood worms as this may cause them to become canabasistic and try and eat each other. If you don't feed them a meaty based food I have never had that problem. Now with thumbnails always single tad to dish.
