In this thread it was brought up. We won't ever know for sure what it is, because Taron wouldn't say if he knew.

I didn't catch your name in the intro.
Right, got that now. And Casper called me today also.
You are by far the minority in the hobby , as not many are willing to keep one lone frog for over a decade with no thought of breeding , rather soley a 'pet'. Nothing wrong with that , when it comes to the species or locales which have little chance of being lost in the hobby. Or ones which are of dubious backgrounds. Or the combo thereof.
For most in the hobby we want to make sure that the new owner is ready for darts (understanding the nutritional needs and husbandry aspects, lineage, species/locale, ect, ect.) before we sell to them. But there are plenty of guys at frog shows willing to sell anything to anybody at any time ...if they have the money.

The Fauna BOI is far from complete or a bible on who's done what, but punch in Taron Langhover and everyone sit back for a bunch of hours of enlightenment.

I have read quite a few pages on BOI over Taron.. While I will admit I should have known better as the buyer, I expect vendors to be honest and tell me what I need to know. As far as keeping him just as a pet, I also keep boas and I have one that is possibly cross bred (she is a rescue) and I would never breed her, but I won't get rid of her either. I guess it's just part of who I am. I have my "pets" and then I have my breeder boas and I just got a trio of Azureus from Casper. If there's a 1.1 in there then I suppose I'll have breeders

As far as a seller wanting a buyer to know about their product, I don't think Taron cared. Everything I learned from him was all because of questions I asked. He did not inform me to dust, or that 2 morphs should not be housed together because of breeding.. He also never told me that the 'Azureus' and 'Oyapock' I purchased were actually morphs of the same species. I know I have to accept responsibility as the buyer to know what I'm purchasing and the care for it, and I admit I was in the wrong. I just want people to learn from my mistake.

Me too. That's why I warn about business people who don't care about the hobby.

Where the heck were you when I was standing at his table?!? I have definitely learned a lot through all of this. Thanks to Casper and Cindy, I now have 4 more healthy frogs that come from people that actually care I also have learned a ton by talking to Casper for the past few weeks. It's very nice to have somebody that's close that you can talk to and ask questions.

I was not sitting at a show selling to anybody with cash in hand, that's for sure.
Very glad you are now working with some experienced hobbyists . There are some great froggers down your way willing to help and make sure you are ready for the frogs you get from them.

I'd suggest reading through this thread for an idea of points in the hobby.
What Should We Expect From Sellers?
