Default Getting into the hobby..

Hey Everyone
My name is kirk, I live in Barrie ON Canada. I have recently become interested in darts. A little about me...I have worked with reptiles for the last 10 years. Before it was always just large animals. I worked with monitors everything from ackies all the way to crocodile monitors(salvadorii). But the financial burden of my large collection took a toll on me and I had to sell off my collection. At the same time I was also working alot with large snakes, retics, burmese, boas, scrub pythons. So 90% of that stuff left at the same time. I recently got into geckos, phelsuma, and rhacs. and have a pair of giant day geckos and a leachie (looking for a male).
I found my self really enjoying the natural viv set ups and am now very interested in darts.
can not wait to talk frogs with everyone and pick at your brains

Kirk

Just make sure you are well prepared. I'd start messing with FF culturing as soon as you can.

are Fruit flies, better then pin heads? I work at a reptile store and we get about 8k pins a week. so i never have a shortage.

I loved pinhead crix and bred thousands of them until I found two 3/8" crix in my Lorenzo tank that were missed. I also found a couple in my Citronella tank... I dropped them from the menu unfortunately. They are a great feeder though IMO as long as they are clean and from a reputable source.
