Post What Is My Azureus Doing?
I was wondering what my Azureus is doing. It is a juvie about 1 inch long. Sometimes when I look at him/her its throat is bobbing up and down like it's calling. But when I crack the tank so I can hear, I don't hear anything. Is this normal for all juvies or what?

Beth is correct. It's just breathing.

It can speed up very quickly if even the slightest bit stressed. My big head staring at a frog will do it every time.

Constant, rapid, throat propulsions can also be an initial sign of heat stress. If your temps are in order, I would not be concerned.
