My never ending quest to find a sliding glass vert kit just came to an end. I have hooked up with a aquarium manufacture that is going to start making me exactly what I want. I am dropping off the final measurements on Tuesday and I should have it by Friday. The bottom piece of glass will be 8in high with 3 vent holes and 1 hole for a drain. The 2 doors will be 27in tall by 8 3/4in wide. (No vent on the top, as I'm drilling the top of the tank for vents) It will have a frame around the kit so all I will have to do is silicon it in and poof a vert!!

Now my question to all of you is, who else might be interested in this stile of vert kits? I already explained to the manufacture that there is a lot of people wanting good vert kits and he knows that I will be posting a lot of build threads using his kit so is very interested to say the least!

Casper, your vivs are awesome hope you post some updates soon.
The 40 g verts are a cool idea, seeing them on your rack made the dimensions for alot of frogs, pums, group frogs etc.

dang. Where were you 2 days ago with this info Casper. I just made my own kit for our 40 breeder!! I wanted sliding doors so bad! What is the final price you'll be paying? I may have to remove our stuff and buy one that you're getting!

Not sure on the price yet. I will know more when its done as I'm supplying him with darts to trade for the first 2. When they are built I will ask him what the final cash price will be.

Final price(s) will probably be about 2 weeks away, we are fine tuning the designs for the vert kits this weekend. I don't want to give to much away, but it sounds like this is going to be a lot more than just vert kits. Whole glass euro vivs, fake rocks, backgrounds and a lot more!! And it will all be factory direct from a company that has been in business for 30 years! Exo-terra and zoomed better watch out... the winds of change are blowing.

Well I have some news. The virt kit is kinda on hold for the moment. But something bigger and better is in the works. A new prototype European vivarium is getting built next week. Once all the testing is done a whole new vivarium system will be available to the masses. All in different sizes that you will be able to stack on top of each other eliminating the need for any racks at all. Or whole wall systems will also be available for those who want to go big! Also a new patented false bottom system, full backgrounds with 3 sides that will be plantable, fake rocks of all sizes, vert kits, lights, and A LOT more. And all will be geared for the frog hobby.

That is really good news. DAS was a pioneer in bringing mass production equipment for reef systems to the public - no doubt they will be able to do it w vivs. The timing is good since I am on the fence about using zoomed/exo vs making my own verts. I'd rather pay a little more and have a well engineered prod that will last as long as the frogs.
