Male Visit Tree Walkers!
Default which woodlice right for azureus.

I getting ready to seed my cage and order a thing of tropical springtails from Josh's frogs and I was wondering what species combined with the springtails, would be best suited for both cleaning and feeding of the azureus? If it is a species that I can find locally in the California would it be safe to throw in a wild caught or do i need to something to do it safe? Or would you guys recommend something else that would do the job better and feed azureus?

All species will work and be a benefit, wild can be used but you have to be careful about parasites and disease. All of the babies will be food so it really don't matter what kind you get there is no one particular type. Dwarf whites that are full grown would most likely be eaten since they are quite small.

I know this is an old post, but I just wanted to add that any woodlice native to California will have a gestation time of many months. Frogs will usually wipe them out before they get a foothold. I've had good luck with the dwarf white variety that's available in the hobby, but I've had even better success with the dwarf striped variety. It's super prolific and since they stay small, they never get too big to eat. They stay out of sight for the most part, but if you turn over leaves in any of my vivariums you will see tons. I can take a week long vacation and I still come home to fat frogs.

Some can. Giant Orange and local species get big enough that Azureus typically won't tackle them. Dwarf white and Dwarf stripe adults are still small enough to eat.
