I'm done with cultures that use vinegar. I hate the smell and I find it to be a pain in the ass.

I tried it once. And decided I agree. I just put in a tablespoon of methyl paraben with each culture.

I have not seen any guarenteed benefits but Im too lazy to change a working system right now.

The only thing I have changed is the adding of the Bee pollen recently.

Having been to a lot of aquarium stores, I can say most of them carry spirulina algae, have even seen it frozen. (I know this is an old thread, just thought I'd mention.
